Bailiwick Theatre Chicago
The Bailiwick Theatre has been producing outstanding shows since

its humble beginnings in 1982. They produce a wide range of theatre with everything from the old classics to the new and cutting edge.
Past productions that they have brought to the stage include a Sir Peter Hall adaptation of George Orwell's Animal Farm and its annual production of The Christmas Schooner a Christmas production with originality that has kept this show as a popular yearly performance. Another popular show was the Kiss of the Spider Woman based on Manuel Puig's famous novel. The story takes you through the complex relationship of two men trapped together inside a Latin American prison. The show was political and emotional, capturing its audiences.
Future productions are diverse. Love, comedy and homosexuality are all touched on in the upcoming performance of Oh, Holy Allen Ginsberg, which will certainly be thought provoking and entertaining.
An adaptation of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize winning novel,

Angels In America is also on its way. This moving story centres on the politics of America in the 1980s and the early days of the AIDS epidemic. The parallels to today are an eerie reminder of how far we still need to go before we have a truly open and understanding society.
