With an outstanding location, this charming, historic hotel offers some of the best views in the city at great prices. The Congress Plaza Hotel was originally built in 1893 for the Columbian World's Exhibition. Today, it still retains much of the feel of a luxury hotel of a bygone era. With its location on South Michigan Avenue, the Congress Plaza is only a few blocks from some of Chicago's major attractions. A lakeside room offers beautiful views of Grant Park and Lake Michigan.
The Congress Plaza offers some of the largest rooms and suites in downtown Chicago. While the décor are furnishings are not the most modern in the city, the hotel is kept exceptionally clean by its friendly staff. Once owned by famed gangster Al Capone, there are many legends that surround the history of the hotel.
