Location. The W Chicago City Center is anchored in the center of Chicago's (Ill.) downtown Loop business district. The Sears Tower rises one block from the hotel, while the theater district is located four blocks away. Merchandise Mart stands one mile from this property.
Hotel Features. The hotel's two-story lobby features dark velvet drapes, subdued lighting and serpentine white-vinyl seating. Dining venues include Ristorante WE, a romantic, Tuscan-Italian dining experience. The restaurant showcases steaks prepared over a wood-burning stove and seafood selections. W Café's intimate alcoves are furnished with sofas and coffee tables. The café serves espressos and light fare during morning hours, and transforms into the Living Room Lounge during late-afternoon and evening hours. Whiskey Blue hosts DJs on Saturday nights and serves nightly cocktails and appetizers. The hotel offers a business center and 12,000 square feet of function space. A 24-hour, complimentary fitness center contains cardiovascular and weight-training machines, and free weights.
Guestrooms. The 22-story W Chicago City Center offers 369 contemporary guestrooms equipped with high-speed wired Internet access for a fee, MP3 adaptors, CD and DVD players, and 32-inch plasma flat-screen televisions. Beds are dressed with pillowtop mattresses, custom duvets and down comforters. Desks pair with purple-velvet chairs. Bathrooms contain bathrobes, lighted magnifying mirrors and marble vanities. Bathrooms are stocked with Bliss toiletries. Select bathrooms contain showers, only. All accommodations contain minibars and complimentary laptop-compatible in-room safes.
